Summer Preview: Vivian's fashion do's and don'ts
For all of those babies and small toddlers out there who need some help with what to wear this summer, I compiled some of my favorite looks in addition to some tips.
DON'T be afraid to be modest. Try to avoid showing the buddha belly with a nice one piece on the beach.

Lights! Camera! Vivian!

We take a lot of pictures of Vivian, and every time we get the camera out Vivian knows it.
Once the silver box appears, she promptly looks directly at it, smiles several times, and then goes about her business. Lucky for us since it's not too difficult getting a smile shot of her. But seriously?! How does she know to look at the camera and hold a pose until the flash comes? Where did she learn this? Perhaps there is a class for babies that I am unaware of. Perhaps Vivian is teaching it.

Gerber v. Beech Nut
This was for dinner Monday night. We try to mix it up, and Vivian used to love vegetables, but ever since we introduced meat into the picture she's been disenchanted with our selections. Fruits are always her favorite.
Vivian is clearly not happy with the chicken and sweet potato duo. She "discards" of them the only way babies know how.
Peaches are wonderful, but Vivvy doesn't trust us and spits them out thinking that we were "tricking" her into eating her C & SP. Truth is, we are. She's still not buying it and vetoes both peaches and chicken with sweet potatoes.Monday, February 16, 2009
Get me out!
Vivian is not a huge fan of sitting still, so when we occasionally do work at Troy's office, we are left to put her in her pack n play. Typically she associates it with naptime, so when put in her "cage" during play hours, she gets very...cranky. As we work, we are serenaded by screams and entertained by her banging her head against the mesh walls.
